Muslims shun fruits of Lottery 11th July 2003, 1:00am Tes Editorial Charnwood primary school in Leicester has cancelled its allocation of free fruit because it is paid for by the National Lottery. The pupils, mainly Muslim, are refusing to eat the proceeds of gambling.
