No age limits on enthusiasm;Letter

29th January 1999, 12:00am
IT WAS a first for me to see in an advertisement in The TES (January 15) that the Archdiocese of Westminster is looking for a practising Catholic deputy head who is energetic, enthusiastic, highly experienced and likely to be 26-40 years old.

I cannot find any evidence for a person specification that says a deputy head with these qualities is likely to be limited within these ages. The advertisement assumes that enthusiasm and energy are age-related.

I look forward to seeing the Archdiocese of Westminster adding that their deputies are to be “bright-eyed and bushy-tailed”.
