No kidding

Kids can’t be fooled, as one of Her Majesty’s finest (school inspectors) found out. A west of Scotland primary, alert to the sensitivities of the age, did not split its classes into high, middle and low ability groups but chose red, yellow and blue instead.

As the inspector made his rounds, one young lad asked him: “Can you write in capital letters and do full stops?”

“I can indeed,” replied the inspector.

“Well, you should be in that group there,” came the riposte.
