Supply staff raise the stakes on higher pay (27 January)

- Supply teachers need to get organised with communication. At the moment we are working as individuals with no support. We need to act together in order to highlight the injustice and manipulation of valuable staff in the education sector.

- I work for Glasgow city council and East Dunbartonshire. I am averaging five calls per day which I am not covering - all schools here are desperate. At the headteachers’ meeting yesterday in Glasgow, there was an onslaught of complaints. Keep up the pressure guys all over Scotland!

Fears grow over cuts to educational psychology (20 January)

- At Strathclyde University, 27 out of 27 of the 2009-11 cohort were female. That should give you an idea of the “selection process” at work.
