The level 3 TAs at my school who have been working there for a while are on far more than #163;10,000 - nearer #163;16,000. And they start work at 8.30am, have one hour for lunch and finish at 3.30pm - and get 12 weeks+ holiday a year. The higher level teaching assistants earn more than newly qualified teachers (NQTs).
