Without the support of a foreign languages assistant, how can a language teacher practise those vital GCSE oral questions?

Obtain two old mobile or landline phones (the older and bigger, the better). Pass them around the class to suitable music - Hung Up by Madonna or Call Me by Blondie. When the music stops, the “caller” must ask a question from the prepared target language and be answered by the “receiver”, et voila, a simple boost to the lesson.
