YOUR interview with Renate Williams (Friday magazine, April 7) included material that purported to be from the reference provided by the University of Reading after her postgraduate certificate in education course.
As her tutor on that course I wish it to b known that student references are provided in confidence and neither I nor the university provided The TES with the words which appeared in your report.
