The Scottish FE funding council has allocated pound;5.9 million in capital investment for urgent repairs to colleges’ estates, mainly to cover health and safety work.

The money will come in two parts - pound;25,000 for all colleges, totaling pound;1.1 million, and pound;4.8 million based on the usual funding formula related to student numbers. But colleges will first have to come up with proposals for spending the money which are acceptable to the funding council.
