Rate overall performance

Your comprehensive coverage of Building the Curriculum 3-18 (TESS, November 3) was very helpful and informative.

I noticed, however, that there was an error on your front page story which alters dramatically the meaning of the sentence. “Building the Curriculum also spells out the importance of measuring pupils’ performance solely on the basis of what they do in school,” should, of course, have read:

“Building the Curriculum also spells out the importance of not measuring pupils’ performance solely on the basis of what they do in school.”

The programme for A Curriculum for Excellence looks forward to working with schools and centres on building the curriculum through a continued commitment to engaging with the profession.
