A report by the charity says that more than half of all Afghan children do not attend school. The report said rich countries were not providing nearly enough aid, despite promises. Oxfam has called on the international community to invest $563 million (pound;300 million) over the next five years to rebuild 7,800 schools and provide textbooks. Photograph: Getty
