Scottish pay deal

25th November 1994, 12:00am
Scottish teachers have agreed a two-year pay deal worth just over 5 per cent, and will call off a strike ballot arranged after they were offered 2.3 per cent. Two per cent will be backdated to April, a further 1 per cent from December, and 2 per cent from next April. This will put another Pounds 75 million on the teachers’ salaries bill.
