Parents, teachers and community groups will be able to explore possible locations to set up a free school in their area at the click of a mouse. The Government’s school building agency Partnership for Schools (PfS) this week launched the Free School Kit website, which will allow people to research pupil attainment, Ofsted ratings and surplus places by postcode. PfS chief executive Tim Byles said: “A new one-stop online tool to help anyone proposing to open a free school find out about possible locations in their neighbourhoods has been launched.”
