If you work in lifelong learning and find the pace of reform in England a little sluggish, you might be interested in relocating to Northern Ireland.

The peace process may be faltering but at least some changes are happening faster than usual thanks to the suspension of the Northern Ireland assembly.

With the province’s politicians out of the way, Westminster-appointed ministers are getting on with the job.

In fact, as FE Focus readers will have discovered this week, government in Northern Ireland can work faster than the speed of sound - the decision to stop funding UFIlearndirect in the province was made before anyone heard it coming.
