Six women schoolteachers and their male driver killed

SAUDI ARABIA. * Six women schoolteachers and their male driver were killed on their way to school in the town of Jizan in the Western Province on January 12. Their car collided with a lorry after its driver had falen asleep at the wheel.

Each year, around 3,000 people, in a country with a population of 19 million, are killed in road accidents, giving Saudi Arabia one of the worst accident rates in the world.
