Almost nine out of 10 students in the colleges and institutes that form the University of the Highlands and Islands Millennium Institute are satisfied with the quality of their course, and the vast majority would recommend it to a friend. But a survey of around 300 students, carried out by the institute, warns that, as the project moves nearer university status in 2007, students’ expectations of the resources and facilities to which they should be entitled will rise towards those found at “traditional” universities.
