A: “Yes, I think this is an unreasonable belief - everyone knows it’s your mum and dad that buy the presents.”

“In riddles.”

“Good. And why would they speak in riddles?”

“To confuse him,” said Ricky.

“And did it work?” I asked.

“It’s worked on me.”
