A colleague was teaching French to a Year 7 class. Out of the blue, one bright spark interrupted with a question.
“Are you married, Miss?” Not wanting to spoil the pace of the lesson and not wanting to be sidetracked, she held up her hand so the questioner could see her wedding ring.
