The Scottish Book Trust is running a conference on reading and writing at the Corn Exchange, Edinburgh in February. Keynote speakers at "Creative Sparks" will be Ninive Calegari, co-founder and CEO of 826National, a drop-in centre for one-to-one support with creative and essay writing, and Michael Rosen, children's laureate. Ten seminars will cover a range of topics, including Matthew Fitt on developing Scots in school, Liz Niven on building confidence in using poetry, and Moira Foster and Stuart Syme from Dundee on reluctant readers.
