Chris Keates, the general secretary of the NASUWT, has called on the Government to crack down on the cyberbullying of teachers by pupils.

“I have recently sent ministers almost a hundred cases of teachers being abused and bullied by mobile phones, emails and, most frequently, websites such as Bebo and Ratemyteacher,” she said.

“Teachers were already extremely vulnerable to false allegations of abuse.

“These sites have provided yet another vehicle for allegations to be made.”
