Success-hungry in Norfolk

INTELLIGENT work by education leaders in Norfolk is creating a “hunger for educational success”, inspectors announced today. The Office for Standards in Education praised the authority for making highly effective improvements since its last inspection, and for exemplary work with under-performing schools. Inspectors said the council still faced difficulties with admissions and attendance, particularly authorised secondary absences. But they concluded that its strengths greatly outweighed its weaknesses.
