I had hoped a new government heralded a new era for education, but here I am again, the last week of term, with two hefty consultative documents arriving on my desk.
They are a consultation paper from the School Curriculum and Assessment Authority on value-added indicators for schools and the consultation policy paper Excellence in Schools from the Department for Education and Employment. Well at least I will have something to read on holiday.
