BULLYING is not confined to inner cities; most primary school bullies end up as victims; and 45 per cent of children had experienced some form of bullying over a sixth month period, a survey by the Economic and Social Research Council has found. Professor Dieter Wolke from Hertfordshire University who studied more than 2,300 six to nine-year-olds, found the most common type of bullying was name-calling, followed by beatings and being lied about.
