Take a break, Gove, your reforms aren’t wanted

The normal advice to those who find themselves in a hole is to stop digging. In Michael Gove’s case, however, we find that he merely wields his spade with greater vigour. His new call for a major overhaul of working practices is bound to inflame an already tense industrial situation. My union (the NUT) - along with the NASUWT - is already planning strike action in addition to the existing work-to-rule campaign. He seems to have a real penchant for pouring petrol on to fires. Gove must go.
