Teacher appeals against supervision order after spanking daughter at dentist

A teacher found guilty of assault after smacking his daughter in a dentist’s waiting room has appealed against a supervision order placed on his family.

The Lanarkshire man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had all three of his children, aged eight, six and one, put under a supervision order, which gives social workers the right to check on the entire family.

He still awaits a decision by North Lanarkshire Council on the future of his job. He is currently restricted to library duties at the school where he works.
