Thirsty to learn

20th February 2004, 12:00am
Scottish Water is launching a website on March 15 to teach primary pupils about water.

The website and support materials for P4 and P5 pupils and teachers will form the core of an education programme that includes a Water for Life show, presentations by Scottish Water staff and school visits to water and waste-water treatment works.

The show will tour different areas every year, starting in May and June with visits to Inverness, Dundee, Ayrshire, Edinburgh, Dumfries and Galloway, the Borders and Argyll and Bute.

The website covers uses, conservation and pollution of water through games, quizzes and experiments. A Bag It and Bin It game supports the campaign to clean up our coastlines.
