Stranraer Academy’s school board has been much exercised by the many fast food vans that crowd round its campus at lunchtimes, diverting pupils from the healthy food menu served in the refurbished canteen.
Worse still, in this seaside town, flocks of seagulls swoop to scavenge the food dumped by the kids after their alfresco dining spree. Needless to say, none of this tickles the buds of the acting heidie, who rejoices in the name of Joanne Pallett.
