Welcome to my village from Action Aid contains a series of pull out panels offering key stage 2 teachers some excellent activity ideas, particularly for non-fiction writing. The confusing layout of the pack may offer children an additional and unintended challenge, though a leaflet, containing the pack in miniature, helps. It explores a Mayan village in Guatemala through a large map and short quotes from workers associated with a community organisation. These provide an insight into different aspects of daily life.
