This high-quality pack provides the information to study in detail either a contrasting locality to your home area or a mountain environment. Used carefully, it could provide a virtual field trip for key stage 2 pupils It includes photocopiable worksheets, facts and figures from the Lake District National Park Authority, an interactive CD-Rom, maps (not copiable), photographs (with grid references and background information), glossary, postcards and pamphlets as well as details of further resources and local contacts in the Grasmere area. Each worksheet and factsheet is clearly linked for teachers and pupils and it would also support national curriculum history and citizenship.
