VTC Cymru was established under contract from the Welsh Office as part of the National Grid for Learning initiative. It parallels the VTC website that was established to serve English schools, providing information and resource material for teachers. The VTC site that serves England is regularly updated, user-friendly and appears to be accessed rgularly by teachers. The VTC Cymru site http:vtccymru.ngfl.wales.gov.uk does not seem to have been updated since it was established in 1997. It also carries virtually no information of use to practising teachers. VTC Cymru has been the subject of constant complaint, but no action appears to have resulted from the complaints.
