Vote Tory to get back at Labour

29th April 2005, 1:00am
I believe that most teachers want Labour elected as the new government - with a hugely reduced majority, with perhaps the Liberal Democrats holding the balance of power.

For this to happen, more teachers need to vote Conservative than last time.

It was all looking very good for Michael Howard until he shot himself in the foot once again (after Iraq, this appears to be his main problem). He suggested bringing back Chris Woodhead.

As any teacher knows, Mr Woodhead did more to turn potential applicants off teaching, lower morale and encourage experienced staff to leave schools than anyone else in history.

Come on Mr Howard, get your act together and stop being so stupid.
