Voluntary Service Overseas is urging experienced teachers to help improve the education system in Mozambique, where less than half the population is literate.
The charity is recruiting experienced Portuguese or Spanish-speaking teachers to work as primary teacher trainers and education managers.
Volunteers should be prepared to spend one to two years working in Mozambique and in return will be given a modest living allowance, return flights, accommodation, medical and travel insurance cover, national insurance and pension contributions, visas and work permits, grants and a guaranteed minimum of three weeks’ holiday per year.
