Rule the School BBC1, Friday, July 19, 5-5.25pm.

The BBC indulges in a Saturnalian experiment next Friday night, handing a school over to its pupils and getting them to teach a small group of selected teachers such subjects as break-dancing, text messaging, football and computers. They can devise their own punishments and curriculum, give homework and hold staff meetings. Most of all, they can find out what it feels like to confront a class of slow learners who won’t lrn 2 txt. Their victims are chosen from a variety of schools around Britain: will they accept being taught by teenagers? Will they have the intended learning experience? Thankfully, there is a mediator, in the shape of CBBC presenter Jake Humphrey, to see things don’t get too out of hand.
