UNITED STATES. Four out of five top American high school students admit that they have cheated at least once, and more than half said they did not think it was wrong to cheat.

In the anonymous survey of the nation’s best and brightest 16 to 18-year-olds, 80 per cent admitted cheating, up 4 per cent from last year, and 53 per cent said they had no qualms about it. Eighty-three per cent said cheating was common at their school.

Nearly half those surveyed by Who’s Who Among American High School Students said the biggest problem facing their generation was declining moral and social values, double the percentage who said so last year.
