Win a Canon camera and printer

6th January 2006, 12:00am
TES Online has teamed up with Canon and the SS Robin gallery and learning centre to launch a national schools digital photography competition. The theme is identity. There are three categories: primary (5-10), 11-15 and 16-plus; schools are limited to three entries in each. Winners receive a Canon Powershot A520 camera with CP510 photo printer, worth pound;279 (www.canon.co.uk).

How to enter: The Government wants to introduce identity cards. If you could take the picture for your card how would it look? Would it be a self-portrait or a picture of your friends? Using the identity theme and a digital camera, take pictures to explore how you define yourself.

Send entries, clearly identifying you and your school, with contact details, by email to online_pictures@tes.co.uk or on CD-Rom in the post to: Photography Competition, TES Online magazine, The TES, Admiral House, 66-68 East Smithfield, London E1W 1BX. The closing date for submissions is August 31, 2006. Winning entries and the best of the rest (parental permission is required for pictures of children under 16) will feature in a gallery on the TES website and at the SS Robin floating gallery, Canary Wharf, London.

In November, winners will be invited to a private view of the exhibition where they will be awarded their prizes.
