At the 20th Anniversary Art Work Awards, Old Ford primary school, in the London borough of Tower Hamlets, received the award for a site-specific commission for this colourful gate designed by Helena Roden (pictured). Ms Roden held workshops at the school where the children drew each other working and playing and the drawings were incorporated into the design
Dressed as characters from Shakespeare’s plays, Years 4 and 5 from the primary department at Tobermory high school, Argyll, celebrated the Bard’s birthday. Teacher Susie Carmichael sent us this picture of them exchanging Shakespearean insults
Year 8 at South Hunsley school, Melton, east Yorkshire, went on an activity holiday in the summer half term. They painted each other’s faces, built a raft, made flags and went on a treasure hunt. Geography teacher Janet Hutson braced herself as the motley crew paddled away
