Classrooms to Care Homes: Bringing joy to the nation
Classrooms To Care Homes: In A New Campaign, Tes Is Encouraging School Pupils To Write Letters & Make Videos To Send To Care Home Residents & Staff This Christmas

We're going to avoid the tired cliches explaining how hard this year has been: everyone knows, everyone has had personal struggles and made sacrifices. Instead, let's enjoy one of the good things that has come out of this year.

Thousands of children across the country have (with the help of their ever-diligent teachers) been making cards, writing letters, putting together hampers, starring in videos and painting pictures for the nation's elderly this Christmas, as part of the Tes Classrooms to Care Homes campaign

We launched it in November, with the aim of bringing schools and care home residents together at a time when many elderly people are suffering from isolation and loneliness.

A huge thank you to the thousands of schools that have taken up the challenge and made Christmas that much brighter for so many care home residents.

We want to celebrate your efforts and show off some of your incredible creations.
