Scottish Parliament election 2021: Can we trust the politicians' manifesto promises on education and schools?

Ask teachers what their priorities for education are and the response is likely to be something like this: smaller class sizes, more staff (support and teaching) and more resources to support children with additional needs and those with mental health problems.

So, as the main political parties in Scotland publish their manifestos, it is interesting to note the extent to which the pledges they are making echo what might be considered to be the teacher wish list.
