TES Cymru (March 13) rightly highlights the 7.43 per cent cut in post-16 education funds in Wales. While prominence has been given to the potential effect on school sixth forms and the 14-19 learning pathways, I am sure school colleagues share our concerns over the Pounds 22 million cut to FE next year. Colleges will not be able to make up the shortfall from training schemes such as ProAct and ReAct.
School and college leaders must present a united voice and convince Assembly ministers their transformation agenda is at risk.
