The worksheets, which have been written by teachers, are aimed at reception and key stage 1 pupils. They use the Moneykins cartoon characters to help children develop basic numeracy and improve coin recognition.

As well asthe downloadable worksheets, the site features games, stories and competitions.

But be warned: a raft of Moneykins books will soon be unleashed on the market, and awakening an interest in the Moneykins in the classroom could lead to an increase in pester power at the till.
