As The TES went to press the search was still going on for an 11- year-old girl who vanished during a school trip to France. Afustata Shagaya, known as Bunmi, is feared to have been drowned or abducted from an adventure park near Dieppe, Normandy, where she was swimming with about 40 other pupils and six teachers, including the head, Nick Oliver, from Hillmead primary school, Brixton, south London. The girl, who doesn’t speak French, was last seen drying herself at the side of a lake at one of the patrolled beaches in the park on Monday. Her disappearance was discovered when a roll call was taken after the school party had walked 200 yards to the other side of the lake to board their coach.
