Teachers went on strike to protest against plans to turn their school into an academy. Members of the NASUWT union at Sinfin Community School in Derby walked out on Wednesday. Chris Keates, the union’s general secretary, said: “Members are making a stand on behalf of all teachers and in defence of education.”
