A schools adjudicator will not decide whether a new academy should be created in London after accusations of a conflict of interest. Elizabeth Passmore was due to rule shortly on whether an Islington primary should be demolished to make way for an academy designed by 3Es, a company linked to Global Education Management Systems. Dr Passmore was recently employed by the company as an adviser. Dr Philip Hunter, chief schools adjudicator, will now handle the case.
