Airline project takes off

A SCHOOLBOY who designed an airline meal as part of a GCSE food science project has been commended by the British Nutrition Foundation for his imagination and research. Justin Hughes, 16, came up with his meal of salmon steak served with Indian rice followed by a fruit salad blancmange aftr visiting airline and catering companies, and taking into consideration issues such as size and nutritional value. Justin, a pupil at St Clement Danes school in Chorleywood, London, won a pound;50 prize and certificate presented by Sir John Krebs, head of the Food Standards Agency.
