The chemistry teacher at Wycombe high school, a girls grammar, narrowly missed out on gold as part of the women’s quadruple sculls crew.

Days earlier, Alison Williamson, 32, became the first teacher on the UK team to win a medal when she secured bronze in the women’s individual archery.
