Apple Computers claims to have the ideal suite of software for delivering creativity in the curriculum: iLife. The package comprises iMovie, with which to create video films; iPhoto, for editing and sharing digital photographs; iTunes for sound files and creating music CDs; and iDVD for storing and sharing projects and creating impressive portfolios of work.

The latest addition is GarageBand, which lets students create, perform and record their own music.

A great feature of all this is the integration, says Andy Pendry, Apple Computers’ business development manager for education. “Anything students make in one application is immediately available to all others. It is a really creative tool.”

The latest iMacs, launched in Paris a fortnight ago, will also be on display.
