An innovative course for art and design and English teachers will take place at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design on June 1 and 2. The workshop will offer teachers the chance to energise their writing skills and launch into creative mark making. The results, translated into visual language, will then inspire either a short animated piece or a video sequence of illustrations.
The course leaders will be looking at a combination of drawn or collaged images, scanned and manipulated images and an introduction to Flash and Final Cut Express software. No previous experience is necessary.
The workshop’s aim is threefold: a playful process, an impressive end product and the development of skills which will be transferable into the classroom.
