Entries are being sought for the National Galleries of Scotland Art Competition for Schools 2009.
The competition, in its sixth year, attracted 4,000 entries in 2008 and has categories for nursery, primary, secondary and special schools. This year’s topics are: Food is Fantastic (nursery); A Super Duper Animal (P1-3); Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter (P4-7); A Sense of Place (S1-2); Look Up, Look Down (special education); and, for group entries, any of the five themes. Closing date is May 8. Entries should be sent to Linda McClelland, Education Department, National Gallery of Scotland, The Mound, Edinburgh EH2 2EL.
The 53 winning works from last year’s competition are on show until May at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
