An 11-year-old artist from Fort William is the UK’s representative in an international art display at London’s Tate Modern.
Marly Falconer, a pupil at Caol Primary, is in a group of 15 pupils from schools and colleges around the world who had their works selected from thousands of entries.
This year’s Unilever International Schools Art Project encouraged entrants to create a painting, a sculpture or a small installation on the theme of “spaces and places”.
Marly, whose piece was called Solar Girl (pictured), said: “She represents science and smart people who care about our planet. But she hides behind a mask because people get bullied for being smart.”
