Four new arts projects are receiving funding to support A Curriculum for Excellence. Ydance - or Scottish Youth Dance - has been awarded Pounds 30,000 to encourage more students to take Higher music, while there is Pounds 27,500 for the Scottish Storytelling Forum to help probationer and first-year teachers with narrative teaching and learning. Catherine Wheels Theatre Company and the Scottish Book Trust are behind the other new projects to benefit from Learn, a Pounds 300,000 National Lottery fund which is distributed by the Scottish Arts Council. The Learn fund helps the Scottish Arts Council put the arts, culture and creativity at the heart of learning, and to increase participation. Fifteen projects, in formal and informal educational settings, are receiving funding.
