Assistive technology on tap

Teachers in schools across the London borough of Tower Hamlets can now gain free and fast access to ICT hardware designed to help children with a range special educational needs - thanks to the Tower Hamlets Assistive Technology Lending Library. Loans are made on a termly basis and schools are expected to provide the software.

The project aims to offer rapid access to equipment, making it more readily available than it is under similar schemes such as the Communication Aids Project (CAP), which offers special needs equipment but only after an assessment process.
